Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: if you sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider. If you join as a guest, we create an anonymous account with no personal info attached.
• Photos and videos you upload to a room, plus basic metadata (when it was taken, who uploaded it).
• Room activity: reactions, favorites/keepers, and reports you submit.
• Device push token, if you allow notifications, so we can notify you about a room you're in.
• Product analytics and crash reports: we use PostHog to understand how the app is used (e.g. which features get opened) and Sentry to catch crashes and errors. Neither is used for advertising, and both are configured to help us fix and improve Roll, not to profile you.
• Waitlist email: if you enter your email to be notified when the Roll app is available, we store that email, which platform you're on, and which room (if any) you were in when you signed up, solely so we can email you once the app is ready. We delete this list once we've sent that notification, or sooner on request.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to anyone.
• We don't run ads or ad tracking in Roll.
• We don't make rooms or their contents publicly discoverable — a room is only visible to people who joined it with an invite code or link.

Who can see what you upload

Anyone who has joined the same room can see photos/videos you upload there, subject to that room's moderation settings. The room's host/organizer can review, approve, or reject uploads if moderation is turned on, and can remove a person from a room. Uploads you make are visible only within that room — never on a public feed, and never shared with another room.

How long we keep things

A room's organizer can set a retention period for original photos/videos. Outside of an explicit deletion, we otherwise keep room content for as long as the room exists. You can delete your own individual upload at any time, and you can delete your account entirely from Settings, which removes your personal account data.

Your controls

• Remove any photo/video you uploaded, at any time.
• Report a photo/video or block another person in a room.
• Delete your account from Settings.
• Ask us to delete data tied to your account by contacting us (below).

Who we share data with

We use Supabase to host our database, authentication, and file storage, PostHog for product analytics, and Sentry for crash and error reporting. We don't share your data with any other third party except as required by law.

Children

Roll is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where required, let you know in the app.
